Founder Q&A
Indoor Oasis grew from a love of plants and a desire to create a welcoming space where both new and experienced plant owners could find healthy plants, trusted advice, and a little bit of green happiness year-round.
Maine winters make indoor greenery even more important. We wanted to create a place where people could enjoy plants and bring a bit of nature indoors no matter the season.
We focus on approachable plant ownership, offering everything from beginner-friendly houseplants to rare collector varieties, along with the soils, supplies, and support needed to help them thrive.
Building a year-round houseplant business in a seasonal market while balancing inventory, education, and creating an experience that keeps plant lovers coming back.
We're expanding our selection of unique houseplants, growing more plants in-house, and creating new workshops and events to help our local plant community grow
Philodendrons, without a doubt. No matter where I am, I always seem to gravitate toward them first. From easy-care classics to unique collector varieties, there's something about their diversity, foliage, and growth habits that keeps me coming back to them.
Hiking trails
Travel planning. I love researching destinations, comparing options, and building detailed itineraries almost as much as taking the trips themselves.
Attending plant shows and expos. I love discovering new plants, meeting other growers and plant enthusiasts, and finding unique varieties to bring back to the shop. After trying to fit it all in my car!
