I have been a labor nurse for over 25 yrs and every day I see birthing families in labor who know nothing about the birthing process or how their baby is communicating with them every minute. I want to help provide in person education to empower them and those caring for them to facilitate the best outcome.
Maine is my home, after my husband served in the Navy for 23 yrs we both decided there was no place like home.
I only provide in person classes and I do not have a set schedule. I am a perdiem nurse so I set my own schedule. I'll work with clients to do day, night or weekend classes.
Getting hospitals to understand the benefits of my classes for their staff. It seems all about the money but I see it as being all about the evidence. Evidence based teaching is all I do and better providers make for better outcomes.
Expanding my free AHA Infant CPR Class advertising. I had started offering it to clients but then realized it should be for every family expecting or having just had a baby.
