Founder Q&A
I worked for a privately held capital company that was acquired by a bank during the pandemic. I held on during the transition period, but realized I wanted to help small businesses right here where I live. The opportunity to support local business and be a part of my community has given me a level of fulfillment I never could have achieved in a corporate role.
I was born and raised here. I grew up on a goat farm called poison ivy acres, in high school I moved to Raymond, and following high school I chose to stay in the area. I love Maine's lakes and forests. My son is just as outdoorsy as I am and we couldn't imagine another way of life.
I am one of only a few non bank commercial lenders. I have deep experience in the industry, and while I am not a magician, I work to structure requests to get customers the best approvals for their situation. I also take a long term approach and discuss future goals to ensure the financing we do doesn't impeded growth.
Learning how to effectively market my business. When I left my last job, I left with nothing. Starting from zero has been difficult, but it also makes it so much more rewarding to see what I am building.
I want to be able to offer the opportunity I was given to start in this industry to the next generation and provide a career that allows people to help drive small business development in our state.

I actually work hand in hand with commercial bankers. While there is overlap, speed and flexibility are the key differentiators. I am able to finance 100% of the purchase, fund within a few days, and get approvals where banks can't.
